Thank you, Sheehy Subaru, for helping us care for our smallest patients at Inova Children's! - Kirstin M
Harvey was born a Heart Warrior! For the first 32 days of his life, Harvey was never more than 3 feet from his bed. A life-sustaining network of cables, IVs and oxygen tubes kept him close to home base at all times. This is where the "Child Life" Program, and the specialists within it, played such a crucial role as part of the care team at Inova Children's. When Harvey was a newborn they helped bring normalcy to his extremely abnormal situation as possible. They helped us make ink prints of his feet and hands, celebrated milestones and holidays, tasks that would have been simple at home but were daunting for first time parents in the hospital with a complicated newborn. As Harvey got older the Child Life team provided a mobile to help keep him calm in his hospital bed and eventually toys to play with and a play mat to crawl on while he recovered from surgery. Along the way the Child Life Specialist in the Cardiac Unit was there to be a shoulder to cry on during setbacks and a teammate to celebrate the wins. She brought books, helped soothe Harvey during blood draws and was there to sing him to sleep in the operating room. We are so grateful to Sheehy Subaru for supporting Inova Children's and our Child Life Team!
Sheehy Subaru Supports the American Heart Association - Roxana H
The American Heart Association is grateful to Sheehy Subaru of Springfield, VA for their support and generous donation for their generous support of over $3 million over the last 15 years! This allows us to continue to save and improve lives by driving breakthroughs in science, policy and care. In Washington, DC, our advocates helped to unanimously pass the CPR Act! Starting in the 2025 school year, all public and charter schools in D.C. will have cardiac emergency response plans and easy access to AEDs, ensuring the safety of students, staff, and visitors. The AHAs work would not be possible without the companies and people who stand alongside us, like Sheehy Subaru of Springfield, VA. Looking ahead we are working to pass similar legislation across the country and help other community spaces implement these life-saving measures.

On behalf of our family, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sheehy Subaru of Springfield for their incredibly kind gesture in memory of our daughter, Jordynn. Its a touching reminder of her beautiful spirit and the impact she had, even in her short time with us. Taking care of our youngest community members - Kirstin M
Inova Children's provides the highest quality of specialized care for the youngest patients in the communities we serve. Take Asher's story, for example, Asher was rushed to Inova's Pediatric Emergency Room battling acute respiratory distress after a severe choking incident involving strawberries and nuts. Thanks to the expert care of the entire Inova Children's team, he was swiftly admitted and placed on ECMO, a heart-lung machine to take over heart and lung functions. This life-saving intervention was crucial for the 18-month-old. Today, Asher is a thriving three year old, a testament to the exceptional care he received. Sheehy Subaru's support helps us to continue this vital work, ensuring every child receives the compassionate and expert care they deserve.

Heartfelt Thankyou from Garfield Elementary - Adam E
This is our 5th year anniversary partnering with Sheehy Subaru of Springfield, VA. With the Subaru Loves to Learn initiative, in conjunction with the Sheehy Subaru partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, Garfield Elementary School received a generous donation that directly benefited our students. Teachers were able to purchase items for their classrooms that aided in students learning experiences this school year. There where gift boxes which contained items such as post it notes, pens, pencils dry erase boards and many other well needed supplies to distribute throughout the school. We are incredibly grateful for the coordination and outreach done by Sheehy Subaru to make such a positive impact at Garfield. Our teachers and staff felt extra special when Sheehy Subaru treated them to a beginning of the year breakfast with all the coffee and doughnuts that could be consumed to kick off another successful school year. Its encouraging when members of our community share in our mission to educate young learners. Thank you so much Sheehy Subaru! We appreciate your generosity and support of Garfield Elementary School!
Title IX and Making a difference - Adam E
No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance. The impact of Title IX on womens sports is significant. The law opened doors and removed barriers for girls and women, and while female athletes and their sports programs still have fewer teams, fewer scholarships, and lower budgets than their male counterparts, since Title IXs passage, female participation at the high school level has grown by 1057 percent and by 614 percent at the college level. I would like to take the time to recognize Sheehy Subaru of Springfield, Virginia and Adam Edwards. Together, these two partners have made significant donations totaling just under three thousand dollars over the past two years. Temple Womens Gymnastics team sent out a call to its audience and Sheehy Subaru and The Edwards Family answered the call! These funds went to help promote, train and instill the true meaning of placing womans sports on a level playing field with regards to its male counterparts. With these funds, they where also earmarked to upgrade aging equipment, additional safety training for coaches, and other team related expenses. I would like to acknowledge Sheehy Subaru of Springfield, VA once again! I couldnt be more pleased with the abundance of support. Not only where they very instrumental with donating much needed funds. They were very instrumental in helping volunteer for Temple University gymnastics camps, Philadelphia outreach events and moral support for these amazing young women. Title IX created a more equal playing field for male and female athletes, something that did not exist before. It finally allowed women to get the recognition they deserved. In a society with a long history of sexism, advances of this magnitude for gender equality are crucial in beginning to reverse deeply-embedded sexism. We would like to take the time and Thank Sheehy Subaru of Springfield, Virginia and the Edwards family of making a difference in not only Temple Woman Gymnastics but a true difference within the community. Sheehy Subaru of Springfield stands by its Love Promise for ECHO - Adam E
In 2023, Sheehy Subaru of Springfield once again stepped up to help their neighbors in the Springfield and Burke, Virginia communities. For the tenth consecutive year, the dealership made generous contributions to the local 501 (c)(3) organization, ECHO. Ecumenical Community Helping Others is a 100% volunteer organization that has assisted neighbors needing a helping hand since 1968. Thanks to the Sheehy challenge, ECHO exceeded its Food Giving Challenge. On Tuesday Nov. 22 the Sheehy's generous assistance will help ECHO's goal of providing food for the needs of the 1,200 plus families seeking food relief in 2023. Sheehy Subaru sponsored a food drive that resulted in 487 pounds of donated food. This beat the previous year goal by almost 100 lbs. This very generous donations of food contributed to the 315,270 pounds of food! ECHO's weights and measurements don't tell the whole story. One recently unemployed mother loaded her donated groceries in her car in tears. As she expressed her gratitude for the abundant food, she shared that with today's inflation things are tough for everyone. The counselor encouraged her to return for help from ECHO and to come back for clothing. Perhaps this much needed help might allow her to provide some household relief. This would not be possible if not from great community corporate sponsors like Sheehy Subaru.

Thank You from ECHO - Bob V
The donation of $8,000 from Sheehy Subaru helps ECHO provide a vital safety net to almost 1,500 individuals and families living in the Springfield/Burke community who are facing economic hardship and emergencies. We recognize that fulfilling our mission of meeting the needs of our less fortunate neighbors is only possible because of the heartfelt care and concern of people throughout this community -- people like you. Thank you. For over 50 years ECHO's volunteers have provided emergency food, clothing, household items, counseling, financial assistance, holiday meals and school backpacks to families facing illness, low or no wages, and/or housing instability. In fiscal year 2022 ECHO provided about $256,000 in rent/mortgage/utility support, 42,500 bags of food, 3,386 bags of clothing, over 500 Thanksgiving and Christmas meals, the Holiday Gift Shop for about 600 children, and almost 1,100 backpacks filled with school supplies to students. Our organization is run entirely by nearly four hundred volunteers who allow us to keep our overhead below two per cent. Our success has been possible because of the incredible support from our community. We look forward to many years of working together and truly appreciate your significant contributions to helping other through ECHO. Gratefully, The ECHO Team
Exceptional Service - Olivia M
This morning I spent two long, boring hours at my local Subaru dealership. I went in because a button on my tailgate wasnt working properly. I watched customers come and go and I still waited. Well, when my car was ready, Trevor walked me to my car, showed me how they fixed the button, and sincerely offered future assistance if I ever needed it. My annoyance immediately faded. Trevor was polite, thorough and made sure I left with a now-perfect car. I love my 2022 Outback Wilderness (and my 2021 Outback Onyx XTyes I have 2 lol)! It takes me where I need to go, along with my two dogs comfortably in the back. Sometimes I let my two teenage sons ride too. Thank you for a wonderful product and a wonderful company. I trust Trevor at Sheehy Subaru in Springfield, VA, with both of my Outbacks, even if I have to wait. The Outback Wilderness is my 4th Subaru and I couldnt be happier.
